Do I live in Boise neighborhood?

What about shopping in Boise neighborhood?

The central shopping district for Boise neighborhood is Mississippi Avenue. There is also shopping on Martin Luther King Boulvard between Fremont St. and Beech St; along Vancouver Ave.; and along Williams Ave.

What about schools in the neighborhood?

The neighborhood has Boise-Eliot Elementary School and Albina Youth Opportunity School.

Can I use the internet to check traffic on the I-5 before I get on?

Yes. The Oregon Department of Transportation has traffic cameras on Portland area freeways. By looking to see how close together vehicles are it is possible to guess if traffic is moving quickly or not.  Be sure to take advantage of the "Create a custom cam page" option.

What other features are planned for the Boise Voice website?

We intend to make available past issues of the Boise Voice publication, lists of neighborhood resources, classified ads, links to businesses, institutions and organizations in the neighborhood, news items affecting the neighborhood, minutes of neighborhood meetings, and a calendar of events. We are open to additional suggestions.
