Where is a cheaper area near Portland Oregon to buy a home?

I want to move to Oregon to be near my daughter who lives in Portland. Are there areas that are cheaper to buy homes where I would only have to drive a few hours to get there? I do not want a manufactured home but, only want to spend under $100,000 usd.
